No — you can choose either mode. In Text to Video mode, write a scene description and the AI generates the video from scratch. In Animate Image mode, upload a photo and describe the motion; the AI animates the still into a clip.

In Text to Video mode, you select the aspect ratio yourself (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, or 3:4). In Animate Image mode, the aspect ratio is auto-detected from your source photo. A portrait photo produces a 9:16 vertical clip suited for TikTok and Instagram Reels; a landscape photo produces 16:9 for YouTube.

Cost depends on resolution × duration × audio. Higher resolutions and longer durations cost more. Enabling AI audio roughly doubles the cost. The credit estimate updates live as you change settings before submitting.

Text Prompt & Motion Control

Switch to Text to Video mode, write a detailed scene description — setting, subjects, motion, lighting, camera angle — and submit. The AI generates the entire video from your text, no image needed. The more specific the prompt, the more coherent the output.

In Animate Image mode, the motion prompt field (optional) controls how the scene moves — camera movement, subject action, atmosphere. Examples: "slow dolly forward into the forest", "waves crashing gently, leaves blowing". Avoid re-describing what is already visible in the image; the model already sees it.

Be specific about the scene, subjects, action, and camera movement. Include environmental detail (lighting, weather, time of day) and motion direction. Keep prompts under 300 words. For text-to-video, you are defining the entire scene — describe it as if directing a short film shot.

English produces the most consistent results. The AI understands common motion vocabulary best in English, though other Latin-script languages often work acceptably.
