1080p, 2K, and 4K: What changes?
Resolution targets control the longest side of your output. 1080p is usually the best default for social media, websites, landing pages, and lightweight design assets. 2K gives more detail for high-quality content and print-ready drafts, while 4K is useful when you need maximum sharpness for large formats.
A higher target does not always mean better final quality. AI upscaling works best when the source image has enough visible structure. If a source is very compressed or heavily blurred, a huge jump can exaggerate artifacts. In practice, many teams start at 1080p and then test 2K or 4K only when the use case needs extra pixels.
